Rally In Lincoln

On March 31st, 2001, about 100 ATV and dirtbike riders attended a rally in Lincoln to show support for more places to ride in Nebraska. Riders met at the state fairgrounds and traveled together to the capital. Once at the capital building, we stood on the south steps and we discussed the importance or having more places to ride in Nebraska. Riders were holding up signs and chanting slogans such as "we need more places to ride and all loaded up and no place to ride". After a brief show of support on the state capital riders circled the capital in trucks with ATVs and dirtbikes loaded in the back of pickups and on trailers for about one-half hour. It is our hopes that our state senators will hear our voices and support us! Film crews from KLKN-TV channel 8 and KOLN/KGIN-TV channel 10 & 11 showed up and interviewed riders who attended the rally. We were very pleased with the interviews from the TV stations, especially KLKN-TV. We have those interviews on CD-ROM for those who are interested in viewing them. Those who were interviews did an EXCELLENT job of explaining our interests!

We need to thank those who organized the rally. Ron Kubalek and the crew at Lincoln Cycle and ATV, Brian Brunke of Lincoln, Brent Case and Chris Didamo of Bellevue, Walt Meier, Jr. and Don White, Gary Gibbs and others who were involved. Also we need to thank Dan Marshall of Lincoln for transferring the tape recorded interviews from TV into a digital format for viewing on computers.
