Cozad Bug Eaters Busy This Summer
by Susie Reeves, Cozad Bugeaters-Pres.
Hello to the NOHVA people from the Cozad Bugeaters Chapter. We are sorry to say that summer is almost over with, and time for the snow to start flying in our great state of Nebraska.
This summer was packed with many exciting trips for our riders. We enjoyed going to Little Sahara in Oklahoma a few times which always turns out to be a great ride. There were about 15 bikes that went on one of our trips. We also had the chance to make it to Walden, CO this year twice and for some of us it was the first but not last visit there. The mountain range is beautiful and the terrain is unlike any other. If you have not had the privilege to make it that way, plan a trip for next year, you wont be disappointed.
We always find time for a weekend in Halsey at the National Forest and this year was not an exception. Patty Barney and the rest of the people in Halsey have done a great job keeping things organized and friendly there for everyone- OHV riders and those who are not. I commend her and the rest of the hard working people for their efforts; it is not overlooked and really appreciated!
I hope that everyone had as great a summer as we have and enjoy the rest of the year riding and keeping it safe. The holidays are just around the corner so don’t forget to ask Santa for that special gift for under the tree!! (I know what is on my kid’s wish list)
Tread Lightly and Enjoy!
