NOHVA Presented Regional Foresters Partnership Award

NOHVA Business Manager Dan Nitzel and NOHVA Board of Director President Ron Kubalek attended an awards presentation in Golden Colorado on December 10th, 2003 with the U.S. Forest Service.  NOHVA was presented an Honor Award for their work this year at the Nebraska National Forest, Bessey Ranger District near Halsey. 

Particular projects that were mentioned included NOHVA's trail rehabilitation work, production of educational material such as the Halseytrails.com web site and printed hand outs, and our effort to obtain a rescue ATV and trailer for the forest. 

In 2003, NOHVA members have provided over $5,700 in materials and trail supplies, and have volunteered hundreds of  hours to repair and improve trails at the Nebraska National Forest.
