Flat Rock Riders Receive Refund

The Flat Rock Riders chapter of NOHVA has received $520 in funding for their chapter from NOHVA this year.  The funding represents a refund of dues paid by NOHVA members who use the Flat Rock OHV Park near Sutherland.

The funding represents a new policy adopted by the NOHVA Board of Directors involving the funding of projects managed by NOHVA chapters.  Refunds sent back to the chapters can be used for expenses and improvements to the local project.  Membership fees charged to chapters are used by NOHVA to pay for insurance, printing, mailing and administration expenses.  If a donation is made with the membership payment, the donation will be forwarded to the chapter.

For years the NOHVA Board of Directors have been attempting to arrive at a funding formula for association chapters.  It is hoped that this will provide an example for future chapters and projects as long as local riders volunteer to pay membership fee=s.
