Little Blue Meeting
The meeting was called to order by President, Bill Vodicka on January 15th, 2008. There were 7 members present. Roll call was signed. The minutes were read and approved.
Arlis reported that the Grant has been re-applied for and a decision should be made around January 17t°. Michelle is going to call her and let her know when this happens. It could possibly be over $400,000.00 all together, including the last Grant we were awarded.
Cody reported that there was some land for sale between Hebron, Deshler and Carleton but it was going to be auctioned on the 29t° of January. He also said that he knew of someone who might be willing to purchase this land if we knew what we could possibly pay for the land. This is pretty rugged land and would be good for ATV's and such. Dick Schoenholz has the auction and Arlis was going to call him and find out what the situation was on this and see if there was anything that we could do about it. There is quite a process we viii have to go through when buying the land so tit'& may not be a possibility after all. We need everyone to keep their ears open for any land that is for sale.
Nominations were then made for election of officers. They are as follows:
Bill Vodicka was re-elected as President.
Cody Peterson, Vice President.
Ann Vodicka, Secretary and
Shawna Peterson, Treasurer.
The group decided that it was a good idea to split the office of Secretary/Treasurer. Ann is going to send a copy of the minutes to the bank and Shawna will come over and sign the card for the account. It was also decided that we would just leave Ann's name on the account as well, so that two names would be on the account. Ann will separate the financial records from the rest and give those to Shawna.
Discussion was held on whether or not we should hold a monthly meeting. It was decided that we should probably do this since we need to get together to see what is going on and keep in touch with everything that is happening. This will take place on the second Monday of the month at Grampa's Crossing in Deshler. Arlis made this motion and Stan seconded it.
There is an annual meeting of NOHVA in Grand island on Sunday, January 20th. Arlis, Bill and Ann are planning on going and anyone else was encouraged to come as well. We offered to all ride together if anyone else wanted to go. The meeting was then adjourned by President, Bill Vodicka.
